Welcome to ColoradoView
Supporting Remote Sensing in Colorado
Our goals, identified to meet the AmericaView mission, include providing:
- A web portal that will facilitate the dissemination and exchange of Colorado-specific remote sensing and GIS data and information.
- Easy access to resources that will allow educators (K-16) to more easily make use of Colorado's geospatial data products and technologies.
Colorado is a hot-bed of remote sensing and GIS activity, and boasts many world class academic, governmental, and private entities. As director of ColoradoView, the USDA UV-B Monitoring and Research Program(UVMRP) will draw upon this expertise to incrementally build a vibrant and useful resource for all Coloradoans who are involved with the use of remote sensing and GIS data and information.
ColoradoView is part of AmericaView which is a nationwide U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) program focused on providing easy, low-cost access to remotely-sensed data and promoting remote sensing education, research, and applications.
